A homemade .38 caliber revolver with 5 rounds was discovered hidden in Narathip's pants pocket, which he admitted was his. The students claimed they carried the weapon for self-defense, believing they might be followed and attacked. They stated they had found the weapon near their college and had never used it. After the arrest, police documented the incident and prepared to pursue legal proceedings.
