Vocational School Students Caught with Homemade Gun near Technical College

At 7:10 PM on February 19, 2024, police officers fromHua Mak Metropolitan Police Station, along with technical college staff, conducted a search of students as part of measures to prevent inter-school conflicts near Bangkok Industrial College on Ramkhamhaeng Road, Soi 28. Two students were found: Alongkorn, 18, and Narathip, 19, both first-year vocational electrical engineering students. A homemade .38 caliber revolver with 5 rounds was discovered hidden in Narathip's pants pocket, which he admitted was his. The students claimed they carried the weapon for self-defense, believing they might be followed and attacked. They stated they had found the weapon near their college and had never used it. After the arrest, police documented the incident and prepared to pursue legal proceedings.
