Loan Shark Gang Arrested After Threatening Noodle Shop Owner During Hot Weather
A loan shark gang was tracked down after an incident where they failed to locate their debtor and instead threatened a noodle shop owner. The two men, Pee (23) and Moss (30), were searching for a debtor who owed 20,000 baht from a group loan. After waiting 1-2 hours and not finding the target, they became angry and confronted the noodle shop owner, making threats and causing panic. Police Lieutenant Bantheng Thapyotha from Udon Thani Police Station subsequently arrested the two men. The suspects claimed their aggressive behavior was due to the hot weather and frustration at not finding their debtor. They apologized and offered to forgive the debt. The police are investigating the case, noting that the loan sharks did not have a proper lending license.
