Criminals Spray Over 20 Shotgun Rounds into Home, Bullets Penetrate Daughter's Room
At 1:30 AM on February 4th, 2024, Police Lieutenant Wicha Nupannoi from Phatthalung Municipal Police Station was notified of a shooting incident at a house in Phaya Khan Subdistrict, Phatthalung Province. At the scene, 65-year-old homeowner Morakot (surname withheld) was found. Police discovered 8 shotgun shell casings and 2 bullet fragments scattered around the house and inside. Bullets penetrated window glass into the daughter's bedroom and the house door, causing property damage. CCTV footage revealed two male teenagers on a Honda Wave motorcycle without visible license plates, who used an automatic shotgun to fire over 20 rounds into the house. The homeowner reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing two young men fleeing on a motorcycle. Police noted that Morakot has no known conflicts, but her daughter frequently brings friends and a boyfriend from Khuan Maprao Subdistrict to the house. Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive and identify the suspects.
