Tragic Incident: Nephew in Drug-Induced Rage Stabs Uncle to Death While Sleeping

At 3:30 AM on February 3rd, Police Lieutenant Somsak Suwanarak led a team to investigate a stabbing incident in a house in Tha Miram Subdistrict, Muang District, Phatthalung Province. At the scene, Pornsak, 39, the perpetrator, was found standing at the front of the house, appearing intoxicated and aggressive. Police controlled and arrested him, seizing a sharp kitchen knife. The victim, Boontham, 59, Pornsak's uncle, was stabbed in the chest and left shoulder and was rushed to the hospital but died shortly after. Investigations revealed Pornsak had been using drugs and drinking heavily since the evening, causing him to become delirious. His mother confirmed he had undergone rehabilitation multiple times but repeatedly refused medication, ultimately leading to this violent incident.
