Unlucky Friend Stabbed: Man Mistakenly Thinks Victim is New Boyfriend

On January 31st, high-ranking police officers were dispatched to investigate a knife attack at a chicken noodle shop near Pasaya intersection in the Thung Song Hong area of Bangkok. The investigation revealed that Nattaphol, 20, arrived on a Honda Wave motorcycle and stabbed Narongdech, 19, in the right shoulder, piercing his lung. Phattarawadee, 19, who was present, explained that Nattaphol was her ex-boyfriend who had broken up with her a week earlier. Mistakenly believing Narongdech was her new boyfriend (when he was actually just a friend), Nattaphol attacked him. After the stabbing, the victim was quickly taken to the hospital. Police investigation teams subsequently tracked down and arrested Nattaphol in Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi, and he will face legal prosecution.
