January Sees Over 7,300 Intellectual Property Registration Requests

Oramon Saptaweetham, Director-General of the Intellectual Property Department, disclosed that Thailand received 7,384 intellectual property registration requests in January 2026. Trademark registration requests totaled 6,171, a 2.47% decrease from the same period in 2025, while copyright notifications increased by 10.47% to 1,213 items. Health-related trends are gaining momentum, reflecting technological development and business investments targeting aging societies and modern consumer behaviors focused on healthcare. Top trademark request categories included sales and marketing services, cleaning and beauty products, health and medical products, electronic equipment, and clothing products. Notable applicants included Master Agrotech Company in food supplement and fertilizer business and international firms like Pop Mart from Singapore.
