Tragedy: Husband and Wife Found Dead in Cassava Field, Son Discovers Their Lifeless Bodies
A tragic incident occurred on February 20th at 7:30 PM when Police Colonel Weerapol Rabiabpo of Wang Nam Khiao Police Station in Nakhon Ratchasima was notified about two deceased bodies found in a cassava field at Nong Krachong Village. At the scene, the body of Saipin, 60, was found with fatal wounds to her neck and head, lying curled up in a pool of blood. A 60 cm bloody hook was discovered nearby, along with a motorcycle. Approximately 10 meters away, her husband Somporn, 59, was found hanging from a tamarind tree. Their son Jaturong, 36, revealed that his father had been working in the cassava field since morning, with his mother bringing lunch. When they didn't return home by evening, he went searching and discovered their bodies. Authorities suspect the husband, who was being treated for mental health issues and had recently stopped taking medication, might have attacked his wife before taking his own life. He was known to become irritable when off his medication and had previously been violent towards his wife.
