A grieving mother is heartbroken after her hardworking son died on his first day of roof demolition work. At 11:30 AM on February 9th, Chonburi police and the Ratchadamneern Rescue Foundation were notified of a fatal fall at a large dome-like structure with a 5-meter high roof. The victim, Apichat, 26, was found dead with a crushed head, lying in a pool of blood. According to his 54-year-old coworker Chen, Apichat had been working for approximately 4 years and was on his first day at this job site. He mistakenly stepped on the roof instead of the steel frame, causing the roof to collapse from a height of 5 meters. The victim's mother arrived at the scene, overwhelmed with grief, revealing that her son was typically hardworking and worked to support the family.
