The Cycling Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage is organizing the international long-distance bicycle race 'The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Cup Tour of Thailand', which has been held continuously since 1999 to commemorate the birthday of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on April 2nd each year. The race has been listed in the International Cycling Federation (UCI) calendar at level 2.1 since 2017, gaining international recognition for its exceptional organization, safety measures, and hospitality. The event has been successful in creating an impressive standard comparable to world-leading competitions, with Her Royal Highness graciously presenting a permanent trophy to the Cycling Association of Thailand. The association has a policy to distribute the competition across various regions to support the government's 'Secondary Tourism' policy and help stimulate the economy. For 2026, the race will be held in Nong Khai and Udon Thani provinces, showcasing historical and natural tourist attractions through live broadcasts on Thai PBS Facebook and YouTube channels. The 2026 Tour of Thailand will be held from March 24 to April 2, covering a total distance of 1,113.70 kilometers. The race routes will pass through significant locations in Nong Khai and Udon Thani, including historical sites, natural attractions, and cultural landmarks.
