Social Security Announces Gradual Launch of 'SSO Plus' App, Wary of System Crash
Niyada Saneemanomai, Deputy Secretary and Spokesperson for the Social Security Office (SSO), discussed the launch of the SSO Core web application, which serves as the database for the SSO Plus app. She explained that the system is being reopened on February 1st with a cautious approach. Social Security officials are urgently working on data input and processing, including verifying unemployment registrations from the Department of Employment. Currently, the SSO Plus app is open for contribution payment verification, though some data is still incomplete, particularly for insured persons with multiple employers or those affected by previous contribution reduction measures. "We need to open the system function by function to test access and prevent potential impacts," Niyada stated. She noted that approximately tens of thousands of insured persons are still waiting for unemployment benefits, with staff working overtime, including weekends, to process the backlog. During Thursday and Friday, around 40,000 unemployment diagnoses were processed daily. However, some transfer challenges exist due to bank account information errors. The office is using SMS notifications to contact insured persons with account issues, advising those who haven't received payments to call the hotline 1506 for status checks.
