Rescue Team Saves Stray Puppy After 4 Days Trapped in Drainage Pipe
A stray puppy, a female brown-red dog about 5-6 months old, was trapped in a drainage pipe for 4 days, sending out desperate cries for help. A Facebook user posted a video of the puppy, asking for assistance. Located in Bung Sam Phun District, Phetchabun Province, the cement pipe was approximately 5 meters deep with narrow passages, making rescue difficult. Mr. Pek, who regularly fed the stray dog and whose daughter often played with it, searched for the missing puppy and found it trapped in the drainage pipe. After three days of unsuccessful rescue attempts, a volunteer rescue team from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation, led by Sarawut Chotiwan, arrived to help. The team used specialized equipment to explore the pipe, eventually setting up a trap with food to lure and rescue the puppy.
