Car Owner Fights Back, Claims Different Story After Being Accused of Fraud

On February 2, 2024, a case emerged involving a woman's complaint to lawyer Ronnarong Kaewphet about a pickup truck purchase in Ao Luek, Krabi. She claimed she was unable to receive the vehicle and was scammed out of over 200,000 baht. The car's intermediary, Natataya, 52, provided a different account, explaining that a partial payment of 110,000 baht was made from a total agreed price of 450,000 baht. The transaction involved multiple parties, including a woman named Dao or Fa, who attempted to take the vehicle. The car's original owner, Panida, 55, stated she had purchased and registered the vehicle earlier and was attempting to sell it. Police were involved to mediate the dispute, with the vehicle ultimately being held for investigation due to suspicions about its chassis numbers.
