Wirtz Confirms He Made the Right Choice by Joining Liverpool
Florian Wirtz, a German national team playmaker, has expressed his confidence that Liverpool is the perfect club for his personal development and becoming a better player, following his impressive performances in recent matches.
Wirtz recently transferred from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool, the former Premier League champions. Initially, he struggled to adapt to the new league and club, but he has now started to perform consistently well, scoring goals and providing assists.
In a recent interview with BBC, Wirtz shared his feelings about the move: "I think this is the right place to improve and become a better player. This club is massive, and the team just won the Premier League last season. I had good conversations with the team manager before moving, and some players like Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah sent me messages. They weren't asking me to move, but just trying to give me a sense of Liverpool."
He added, "I was very excited when I arrived and wanted to succeed immediately, but it wasn't that simple. I just need to stay strong and confident that things will eventually fall into place. I told myself that I did well in Germany and must not forget how to play football here."
Wirtz also praised his teammate Ugo Ekitike, calling him wonderful and a great friend, and expressed how much he enjoys playing alongside him.
