Arrest of Chinese Nationals: Call Center Gang Busted in Pool Villa in Chonburi

Immigration Police 3 dismantled a call center gang with operations in Myanmar, arresting 6 Chinese nationals in a pool villa in Chonburi province. Police received a tip from a Chinese informant about key suspects in a call center fraud operation. At the scene, officers found a villa being used as a work base, with computers displaying Chinese accounts showing illegal business profits. Ten people were found at the location, including 3 Thai women and 7 Chinese nationals who had arrived together from Penang. Six of the seven Chinese nationals were identified as persons of interest and subject to deportation. Police Commander Songlert Sirisukha revealed that the gang was involved in illegal online gambling and fraud targeting Chinese citizens, with previous operations based in Myanmar before fleeing to Malaysia and ultimately being cornered in Thailand. Computers and phones were seized for further investigation.
