SEC Check First Updates App Features to Help Investors Report Fraud
Anek Yuyuen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), revealed that the SEC has updated the SEC Check First application to help investors and the public search for service providers in the capital market under SEC supervision. The app now allows users to find authorized products to assist in investment decisions (securities/digital assets) and verify names of individuals or services that might be misunderstood as being under SEC regulation.
New features added to the app include:
(1) Displaying the latest list of individuals or juristic persons not operating under SEC supervision or the most recent Investor Alert list
(2) Adding a channel to report investment scams and a Chatbot function for general inquiries
In 2025, statistics showed 282,338 website visits and 20,788 mobile app uses for SEC Check First. The SEC encourages users to update their app to access new features and can also be accessed through the SEC website.
