Department of Intellectual Property, Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Impact Join Forces to Promote GI Products to Global Markets

The Department of Intellectual Property is collaborating with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Impact Exhibition Management to sign an MOU promoting Geographical Indication (GI) products to premium markets, connecting local producers with business networks in Thailand and abroad through international trade exhibitions at Impact Muang Thong Thani. Oramon Sapthaweetham, Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property, stated that the three-sector collaboration aims to push GI products to premium trade platforms, elevating grassroots economic growth sustainably. GI products are high-potential local goods with clear regional identities and reputations. Supporting local entrepreneurs is crucial to maximizing GI benefits and increasing competitiveness both domestically and internationally. This collaboration represents an important step in integrating resources, knowledge, and expertise from all three sectors to drive Thai GI products into global premium markets, connecting GI producers with business networks and creating sustainable long-term local income.
