It Begins! Bank of Thailand and SEC Link Data to Intensively Check USDT Transactions, Block Grey Funds

Deputy Prime Minister Ekkanit Nititunprasert disclosed updates on the sub-committee investigating financial and money laundering paths related to technological crime. He confirmed that interconnected agencies continue working, with verification and data linking mechanisms now fully operational. The Bank of Thailand is currently linking data with the Securities and Exchange Commission to begin investigating digital asset deposit/withdrawal transactions after detecting trading irregularities in digital asset exchanges. "Today, the Bank of Thailand has started linking data with the SEC for investigation, and the system has begun working," Ekkanit stated. Regarding tax measures for online gold trading and gold import taxation to prevent baht appreciation, no action has been taken as tax implementation is currently not feasible.
