A restaurant in Malaysia is facing intense online criticism after a video was shared revealing staff members washing and repurposing leftover food from previous days to sell to customers the next day. The incident occurred around midnight on February 3, 2024, in the back of a restaurant in Seremban, with witnesses near Palm Mall observing staff handling what appeared to be previous day's leftover food. The food items, including tofu, chicken, and lamb, were washed and sorted into separate trays. When confronted, the restaurant employee admitted the food would be recooked and sold to customers the next day, claiming it would not affect food safety. The social media user who shared the video described the behavior as unethical, unhygienic, and potentially dangerous to public health. The Negeri Sembilan Health Department director, Suraida Mohammed, confirmed they have been notified and will investigate the incident thoroughly if the allegations are proven true.
