6-Wheel Truck Drops Plastic Pellets, Causing Fatal Accident: Couple and Unborn Child Die

At 02:57 AM on February 7, 2024, police were alerted to a severe motor vehicle accident on Motorway 7 at kilometer 11 in Bangkok. A black Honda Civic, registration ญฎ 8005, lost control and crashed into a road barrier after driving over plastic pellets dropped by a 6-wheel truck. The driver, Rattanaporn, 39, and his wife Punyawee, 36, who was 2-3 months pregnant, were found critically injured in the front seats. Both died shortly after the incident. Rescue teams from Sirindhorn Hospital and the Ruam Katanyu Foundation worked to extract the victims. Preliminary investigation suggests the truck carrying plastic pellets negligently dropped cargo on the road, causing the vehicle to skid and crash.
