Drug Sweep at Full Moon Party on Ko Phangan: 8 Dealers and Users Arrested

Surat Thani Provincial Police Chief Pol. Maj. Gen. Suwat Suksri led a special operations unit to conduct a drug suppression raid at the Full Moon Party area in Ko Phangan. The operation targeted drug-related criminal activities and resulted in three separate cases with 8 arrests, including both Thai and foreign nationals. The arrests were made in various locations across Ko Phangan, with seizures of methamphetamine, ice, and drug paraphernalia. The police chief emphasized the importance of protecting tourists and local residents during the popular tourist events, particularly during the Full Moon Party period when visitor numbers are high.
