Po Tek Tung Foundation Continues Sustainable Career Support for Southern Households
On January 30, 2024, the Po Tek Tung Foundation, led by Surapong Techaharoovijit, board member and vice secretary, conducted a comprehensive community support program in Ranong Province. The foundation provided professional equipment to 16 low-income households, with a total value of 421,650 baht, and donated 20 bicycles to two schools, valued at 25,800 baht.
The mobile medical team also offered free services including general medical consultations, dental care, diabetes screening, eye examinations with free glasses, haircuts, and recreational activities. Local government officials, including Ranong Province Governor Rachan Meenoi, participated in the ceremony.
Surapong Techaharoovijit explained that this is part of their integrated poverty alleviation project, which has already supported 870 households across Thailand with over 17 million baht in assistance. The foundation is currently planning its fourth phase of support, covering 14 southern provinces including Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, and others.
For over 116 years, the Po Tek Tung Foundation has expanded its projects to help people regardless of race or religion, focusing on comprehensive support and life quality improvement for communities in need.
