This resulted in schools in the Lad Lum Kaeo district declaring an emergency school closure on February 18, 2024, to protect students and educational personnel. Police are currently pursuing the suspect, having coordinated with all local schools to maintain the highest level of vigilance. The school closure covers almost the entire district, including schools such as Wat Bua Khwan School, Sam Wa Witthaya School, and others.
