Criminal Court Grants Bail to Theng Nattapong in Defamation Case

The Criminal Court has granted bail of 10,000 baht to Theng Nattapong, leader of the People's Party, after being sued for defamation. On February 2, 2026, after Nattapong Ruangpanyawut filed a temporary release request in case A.1035/2568, where a Gulf Group company filed a defamation lawsuit through advertising, the court approved the temporary release. The bail includes conditions prohibiting any actions that could obstruct or damage the court proceedings, with the threat of bail revocation. Nitthi Laiadee, Nattapong's lawyer, noted that on February 16, 2026, after the court hearing and testimony, Nattapong can return home immediately due to the granted bail.
