The Teachers Council awarded the 'Teacher Sacrificial Spirit' honor to Director Sasiphat, recognizing her extraordinary dedication during a violent school shooting incident. An 18-year-old male suspect who stole a weapon from police invaded Phatong Prathankhiriwat School in Hat Yai, Songkhla, attempting to take students hostage. Director Sasiphat negotiated and offered herself as a hostage, ultimately being shot and killed while protecting her students. Several students were also injured during the incident, which occurred on the evening of February 11th. The Teachers Council's award honors her selfless spirit and ultimate sacrifice in protecting her school community.
