Police Lieutenant Suspended for Robbing Cannabis Shop of 800,000 Baht and 100 Kilograms of Cannabis

Police Regional Command 2 has suspended a police lieutenant who stormed a cannabis shop in central Pathum Thani, robbing 800,000 baht and over 100 kilograms of cannabis. A group of men claiming to be police used a search warrant to raid a cannabis store in Bang Khu Wat Subdistrict, Mueang District, Pathum Thani Province. The Pathum Thani Provincial Court has approved an arrest warrant for five suspects. On February 14, 2024, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom ordered Police Major General Kiatikul Sontinaen of Regional Command 2 to establish an investigation committee for Police Lieutenant Pongphop, who is accused of severe disciplinary violations and criminal charges including armed robbery using a vehicle.
