Highway Police Sweep Clears 274 Arrest Warrants in 2-Month Operation
The Central Investigation Bureau's Highway Police conducted a comprehensive two-month operation to clear outstanding arrest warrants in Southern Northeastern provinces, targeting various criminal activities. The operation covered nine provinces including Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Amnat Charoen, Yasothon, Mukdahan, and Chaiyaphum.
Using Big Data systems, police tracked and arrested individuals with pending warrants, capturing an average of 4-5 warrants daily. The arrests included cases involving general criminal offenses, scammer networks, and significant financial crimes such as investment fraud schemes and money laundering operations.
Notable arrests included a call center fraud network involving hybrid scam operations with over 100 million baht in damages, investment fraud networks, cross-border money laundering schemes, and cases involving drug offenses, theft, and illegal weapons.
