PM Affirms Thailand Has Not Violated Borders, Expects Cambodia's Hun Manet May Protest
The Prime Minister has not yet received a report about Hun Manet's potential protest against Thailand's alleged border invasion. He confirmed Thailand's sovereignty and expressed confidence that there would be no issues. At a press conference on February 3rd, 2024, at Government House, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated that the Foreign Ministry is continuously monitoring the situation and is ready to provide explanations to any organization with concerns. He emphasized that Thailand and Cambodia already have a ceasefire agreement with established conditions, so no further doubts should exist. When asked if Cambodia seems to be attempting to create tensions, Anutin responded that Thailand should not violate agreements and has consistently maintained its commitments.
