Black-Clad Group Driving Around Election District 5 in Kanchanaburi Told to Leave by Police
On February 5th, Pol. Maj. Gen. Phosawee Ruangphu, Police Commander of Kanchanaburi, received a report about three cars (black, orange, and silver-bronze) with Bangkok license plates driving repeatedly around Ban Kao Subdistrict. After inspecting the resort where the vehicles were staying, police found no illegal items but determined the occupants were not local residents. Police requested the group immediately leave the resort and Kanchanaburi province, as the area is Election District 5 currently in the final stage of campaign season. The group cooperated fully. Additionally, some former politicians were spotted but quickly left when they saw numerous police officers. Police urged residents to report any suspicious strangers in the area, promising to keep informant identities confidential. Election District 5 covers several districts and has seven candidates from different political parties competing in the upcoming election.
