Undercover Police Raid Karaoke Bar Hiding Prostitution Services

On February 21, 2024, Police Lieutenant General Witaya Sriprasetrapa ordered an operation to arrest Thongkul, 53, for facilitating prostitution and operating an unauthorized service establishment. Along with her, Sathini, 21, was arrested for soliciting prostitution in a public space. The operation began after receiving reports of illegal sexual services at a karaoke bar in Moo 6, Phukham Subdistrict, Wichianburi District, Phetchabun Province. Undercover officers infiltrated the establishment, finding drink girls sitting with customers and offering sexual services at 1,500 baht. Sathini proposed the service, with 300 baht going to the bar and 1,200 baht for herself. After a sting operation involving marked bills and confirming the illegal services, officers arrested both women and sent them to Phu Toei Police Station for legal prosecution.
