16-Year-Old Arrested After High-Speed Chase, Throwing Away Methamphetamine

On February 19, Police Lieutenant General Pornsak Laorujiralay ordered a team led by Colonel Pakaphol Suchon and Major Kla Sombatpiboon to arrest Suthi, 46, after a dramatic chase on Phetchkasem Road in Chumphon province. During a routine crime prevention checkpoint, a suspicious pickup truck driven by Suthi attempted to evade police, leading to an intense pursuit. After being cornered, Suthi threw a white package out of the window, which was later found to contain 3,834 methamphetamine pills with a new 'Hand-PARTY' brand. Suthi confessed to recently using drugs and panicking at the checkpoint, and had purchased the drugs for 40,000 baht to distribute in the Ranong area. He was arrested and will be prosecuted, with further investigation targeting larger drug networks.
