Actress Um Single and Happy, Friends Suggest Vet or Engineer
Actress Um opened her new flea market at CentralWorld and discussed ongoing repairs to her home damaged by water leaks, while joking with friends about her single status during a live broadcast.
On July 8, 2569, at CentralWorld's first floor on Srinakharinwirot Road, actress Um Patchrapa Chaiyacheua opened her "AumAum" flea market, a mid-mall market featuring popular vendors and food shops. During an interview with reporters, Um discussed her search for a contractor to repair her home after posting about water leaks resembling waterfalls on social media. She also went live discussing her single status, with friends joking she should date a veterinarian or engineer.
Regarding the home repairs, Um stated: "We're about to start. The contractor hasn't told us what needs to be done yet. We might need to wait for another heavy rainstorm to pinpoint all the leaks. We've patched one area already. The pipe there is too small and has debris stuck in it, so we need to redirect the slope elsewhere."
When asked about her emotional state, Um said: "I'm not really suffering. This has happened before and can't be fixed permanently. I just want to know what to do. It's leaked heavily during storms many times." She defended the original contractor: "He hasn't abandoned me. He's still nice but just slow. Maybe he didn't plan ahead, but he's not running away. He's ready to take responsibility."
Regarding new help arriving, Um explained: "We have a new team coming to help. Thanks to everyone who reached out. If we can't manage, we might ask again. Now we're waiting for the new team to submit a quote to the original contractor. I'll update when something happens."
On completing the house, Um expressed: "I really want it finished. I started building in 2566 and tore it down to rebuild. When it doesn't rain heavily, I'm okay. But that day we got soaked, and I was distressed because this has happened many times before in the back of the house."
Regarding costs, she added: "The expenses haven't increased. The construction timeline has already exceeded the deadline. I had my lawyer check the contract. The deadline was December 30, but it was already overdue. I paid penalties until March 16 and haven't paid since then."
On her live broadcast about being single, Um clarified: "Don't get excited. I really don't have anyone. (Your friend said you should date a vet?) My friend said I should find a veterinarian boyfriend, an engineer—maybe different professions where they can help with different problems. But no one has come forward. My friends have exhausted all their recommendations."
When asked if she's considering anyone, Um replied: "I think about it, but there's no one. These days I only talk to the dog hospital. I don't talk to many people. I won't answer calls if it's just casual chat. If it's not about dogs or something important, don't call. Being single is comfortable. I can do whatever I want, come home whenever, open my market whenever. Being single is better."
