On May 24, 32-year-old Bunphan, living at house number 9 in Thapchaang subdistrict, Nathawi district, Songkhla province, reported that while attempting to plug in his phone charger near the bathroom alcove, an aggressive king cobra suddenly reared up in a threatening display. Frightened, he immediately contacted the Songkhla Volunteer Snake Rescue Unit for assistance.
Officer Taveesak Bunsae of the Songkhla Volunteer Snake Rescue Unit was already operating in the area and quickly arrived with snake-catching equipment. Upon entering the bathroom, officers found a large king cobra on the beam, rearing up aggressively. Using specialized equipment, they carefully captured the snake, which measured approximately three meters in length. The cobra was placed in a sack and transported to a forest area far from residential zones for release.
Lottery enthusiasts didn't overlook the opportunity. Spectators who watched the snake capture seized upon house number 9 as their lucky number for the government lottery draw scheduled for June 1st.
