Amazing Thailand Marathon 2026 Draws 71,000 Runners, Ranked Top 5 Worldwide

The Amazing Thailand Marathon 2026 makes history with 71,000 Thai and international runners from 92 countries participating. World Athletics announces the event ranks among the top five world capital marathons.

On October 27, 2026, at Toyota Alive Bang Na km.3, Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul presided over a press conference preparing for the world capital marathon "Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2026 presented by Toyota, 9th edition, 2026," competing for total prize money of 4,075,000 baht. The Thai government assigned the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to host the event alongside the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and World Athletics, with Trilak (Thailand) Co., Ltd. as the event operator. The event receives extensive support from both public and private sectors, amid distinguished guests including SAT Governor Pradapran Sumanamitr, TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Dr. Thanakorn Sri Suksa, Manager of the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund, Adisak Limprungpatanakit, Deputy Director of the Public Relations Department, Witthaya Thantiwes, Vice President of the Athletic Association of Thailand, Natthorn Sri Nives, Assistant Executive Director of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., Narissara Sri San, Corporate Communications Strategy Advisor of Bangkok Mass Transit System PCL, Alvin G, Deputy Managing Director of Bangkok Expressway and Metro PCL, Kobkiat Saengwanich, Competition Director, and World Athletics Senior Manager Alessio Punzi, who joined via video call to serve as witness. The event was attended by numerous government and private sector supporters, media, and runners.
