Armed Attackers Open Fire on Thai Security Forces in Yala; Senior Sergeant Wounded
Armed attackers opened fire on a Thai security unit in Yala's Tho District on April 29, wounding a senior sergeant who was evacuated to hospital for emergency treatment.
At 5:10 p.m. on April 29, 2025, armed assailants of unknown number fired on personnel from Special Operations Unit 4413, Task Force 44, while on duty in Ban Ja Rae Pae, Moo 3, Tho District, Yala Province. Senior Sergeant Theeraphattana sustained an abdominal wound and was rushed to Tho Hospital for emergency treatment. Security agencies are currently securing the area and closely monitoring the situation to apprehend the perpetrators for legal prosecution.
