ASICS Badminton Championship 2026 opens registration until November 1, 2026, accepting up to 112 pairs (224 players) from U12 youth to Open category to compete for scholarships and prizes worth over 370,000 baht. ASICS Thailand, the global Japanese sports brand, held a press conference for the major badminton tournament 'ASICS Badminton Championship 2026' at The British Club in Bangkok, officially launching ASICS badminton shoes.

"Thailand has a strong badminton community with players at all levels. What ASICS wants to do is create a stage where young athletes and amateurs can compete on the same day as the professionals they admire, and make this a recurring event to provide a clear development pathway from youth level to Open," said Ruengdej Kulmongkol, Marketing Manager of ASICS (Thailand) Ltd.

The "ASICS Badminton Championship 2026" will take place on November 8, 2026, for one day only at the indoor BEAT Discovery Sukhumvit venue (near Udom Suk BTS). It is a doubles competition open to all levels under international standard rules, organized in cooperation with BWT – Bad-Web Thailand, Thailand's leading badminton community media, which handles tournament management. The event will accept a maximum of 112 pairs (224 players) across eight categories: youth under 12, under 14, Rookie, BG, N, S, P-/P, and the national elite Open category.

Beyond providing a real competitive platform with certified referees, official medals, trophies, and podium ceremonies, ASICS has arranged scholarships and prizes for the top three pairs in each age category, with total scholarship and prize value exceeding 370,000 baht. Winning pairs will also receive ASICS badminton shoes as special awards. Every participant will receive an ASICS Matchday Giftset as a souvenir. Throughout the day, there will be fun activities with numerous giveaways, plus a special 32-inch TV prize for one athlete dressed in ASICS Head to Toe from atome.

The tournament aims to boost badminton's popularity in Thailand and inspire young and amateur players aiming for national team and professional levels, aligning with ASICS' philosophy from the Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano" ("A Sound Mind in a Sound Body") and the 2026 brand concept "Move your body, move your mind."

At the press conference, ASICS introduced professional badminton players who will compete in the Open Championship and presented them with new badminton shoes on stage: the COURT CONTROL FF 4, focused on shock absorption and stability for players engaging in long rallies and jump smashes, and the BLADE FF 2, a lightweight court shoe for...
