BamBam Eyes Isan Countdown Trip, New Album Ready for Studio

Global superstar BamBam (Kanpimuk Phuwakul), also known as BamBam of GOT7, appeared at the press launch of the year's biggest festival, "Haier Festival 2026," at the front lawn of The Street Ratchada. The star arrived in a very cool look to welcome Halloween 2026. Before the event started, BamBam opened up to the media about his full-on Halloween costume, year-end festival plans, music projects and the new album in the works, as well as his targets for next year.

BamBam revealed that his New Year's countdown plans for this year are still undecided. There are offers to perform, but he is also considering spending time with family. Personally, he wants to visit new places, particularly in the Isan region, where there are still provinces he hasn't been to, such as Korat and Buriram. He emphasized that nothing is confirmed yet.

On the topic of getting fit for the K-POP MASTERZ concert next month, BamBam said he will start exercising seriously from tomorrow. Looking back on this year, he said it has been happy; he got to try various jobs including runway modeling, acting, and collaborating with Adidas, before preparing to devote himself fully to music again next year. The latest update is that the new album's songs are finished. They are now in the process of recording and mixing/mastering, preparing to move forward with music video filming very soon. He left fans waiting for the new works to come.

Today is wow, lots of surprises? "Is it too much? (Is it good?) I didn't dress up like this on purpose, it's been nearly a year. Actually over a year, because lately I feel like I don't like wearing heavy makeup that much."

This one is considered light? "No, this one is heavy. I haven't dressed up like this in a very long time."

What kind of look is this? "Honestly, it's just a Halloween theme. It's not a specific character from anything. But later when I go on stage I'll add more. Right now I'm at about 50%. There's more to come; Halloween needs a full costume."

Is this a vampire or something? "Honestly, I don't know either. I feel like wearing this outfit makes me look like P'Jeff (Satur). (Laughs)"

It's been a long time since you dressed like this, right? "I think it's different from going on stage. I don't know. Lately I haven't dressed up like this at all. It's been a while. I think a lot of people probably wanted to see me at a Halloween event like this."

Have you been coming to Thailand often lately? "Early this year I came often because of commercial shoots. Then mid-year I disappeared. Before coming back again at the end of this year because all the ads I shot are starting to hold events one after another."

So how is the countdown this year? Any plans? "Still don't know. There are offers coming in, but I'm also looking at my own situation. I'm seeing what kind of atmosphere I want to be in. I can't say much because I'm not sure if I'll be in Thailand or abroad, or maybe not at all. Then just spend time with family. We'll have to wait and see. But honestly, I want to go to places I've never been more than anything. Whether in Thailand or abroad. Right now the Isan region is what I want to explore."

But it's still uncertain, right? "Yes. (Any specific province?) Honestly I can go anywhere. In Isan I want to go where they organize events. As far as I know, there will probably be Korat and Buriram. But we'll have to wait and see. Not confirmed yet."

The food is delicious too, right? "Yes, som tam is a must."

Is that why you're getting fit lately? "Oops! When? (Many people say that?) I think I've been maintaining quite well. But I'll get fit because of next year's concert. But now you ask if I've started..."
