BCPG Profits Jump 146% in First Half of 2025
BCPG's first-half 2025 net operating profit surged 146% to 810.6 million baht, driven by strong power generation operations, new commercial projects, and lower financing costs across its diversified energy portfolio.
BCPG reported first-half 2025 net operating profit of 810.6 million baht, a 146.3 percent increase, as the company pursues sustained growth. CEO Ravi Bunsinsuk attributed the rise to power generation operations, revenue from new projects entering commercial operation, and efficient financial cost management.
Second-quarter 2025 revenue totaled 806.7 million baht, up 3.4 percent year-over-year, supported by improved hydropower performance in Laos, increased solar electricity sales in Thailand, and revenue from additional solar rooftop projects with 19.6 megawatts capacity. Net operating profit for the quarter reached 180.8 million baht, up 37.9 percent, boosted by higher capacity payments from U.S. natural gas plants and lower financing costs.
First-half 2025 total revenue reached 1.905 billion baht, up 26.1 percent, driven by the district cooling system handover, strong hydropower and solar operations in Thailand and Laos, and growth in oil storage and port services following the commercial launch of the company's sustainable aviation fuel production facility and pipeline transport expansion.
Bunsinsuk stated: "First-half net operating profit of 810.6 million baht, up 146.3 percent, reflects increased profits from U.S. natural gas plants, revenue from the Monsoon wind project in Laos, and lower financing costs from efficient debt management."
The results reflect the strength of BCPG's diversified energy asset portfolio and efficient investment management, supporting continued business growth despite economic and energy market volatility. Looking ahead, the company plans to optimize operational efficiency of existing projects while pursuing investments aligned with its strategy to deliver appropriate shareholder returns and strengthen long-term business stability.
