BGRIM Chairman Harald Link said the partnership with Siam Piwat Group drives the clean‑energy transition through two key initiatives: studying clean electricity trades under the TPA framework and commencing commercial operation of the Siam Paragon rooftop solar project, which has an installed capacity of 800 kW. The TPA cooperation aims for a total contracted capacity of up to 300 MW, with BGRIM supplying electricity and offering suitable energy solutions to Siam Piwat to meet growing clean‑power demand and pave the way for future power‑purchase agreements. BGRIM and Siam Piwat officially inaugurated the Siam Paragon rooftop solar project on 30 September 2026, covering about 4,600 square metres across Paragon Hall, the cinema side of Paragon Cineplex, and NEXTOPIA. The installation is expected to cut greenhouse‑gas emissions by roughly 532 tonnes per year and raise the mall’s renewable‑energy share. Nopadet Kannasut, BGRIM’s CEO for Thailand, Malaysia and industrial‑solutions business, noted that the launch builds on cooperation started in late 2025, covering renewable energy and digital technology for energy efficiency. BGRIM added that it plans to expand renewable‑power investments domestically and abroad, aiming to increase the renewable share above 50 % and reach 10,000 MW of generation capacity by 2030, with a net‑zero target by 2065.
