The International Spiritual Volunteer Club (ISV Club) under the Sathira-Dhammasathan Foundation will hold the RUN WITH CARE 2026 charity run on October 31, 2026, to raise money for rescue gear for Thai flood-response teams and to help rebuild houses, schools, and communities in Nepal hit by glacial-melt floods from the Himalayas. Ongoing floods across Thailand have left many people in distress while rescuers race against time, mirroring the crisis in Nepal where meltwater torrents have caused heavy damage.
Moved by both disasters, ISV Club youth conceived the run, which also marks the 73rd birthday of Mae Chi Sansanee Sathirasut, founder of Sathira-Dhammasathan. Foundation secretary Panwadee Amornmanikul said the volunteers grew up with Mae Chi Sansanee's teaching to share others' suffering and act on what they can do, even in small ways. The link to Nepal runs deeper: it is the Buddha's birthplace, and ISV Club members previously volunteered there caring for cataract patients at Wat Thai Lumbini. Nepal's ambassador emphasized it is not too late to help because reconstruction needs remain vast.
Seeing Thai rescue teams in action also showed the volunteers that a single life jacket or piece of equipment can save a life, so they chose to fund durable gear that rescuers can reuse. Every registration and T-shirt sale contributes 100 baht toward life jackets and essential equipment for Thai rescue teams; remaining net proceeds after expenses will go to Nepalese community rebuilding.
Event details: 5 km run 595 baht, 2 km run/walk 495 baht, children under 10 395 baht, special donor 999 baht, Virtual Run 595 baht, or support T-shirt only 350 baht.
