Police Bust Illegal Used Car Operation, Arrest Two Chinese Nationals
Police arrested two Chinese nationals operating an illegal used car dealership in Chachoengsao Province, seizing 19 vehicles and charging them with working without permits and conducting unlicensed business.
At 5:00 PM on June 30, 2025, Pol. Lt. Col. Kritsana Masuk, superintendent of Ban Bung Police Station in Chachoengsao Province, led officers to inspect a commercial building in Nong Sak Subdistrict after receiving intelligence about Chinese nationals illegally operating a used car business. Officers executed a plan to make a purchase at the agreed price of 360,000 baht in cash to catch the suspects in action.
During the inspection, police found multiple vehicles parked in front of the office and an additional 10 vehicles on the side, totaling 19 seized vehicles. Two Chinese men were identified as office owners and taken into custody.
They were charged with three offenses: (1) working without a valid work permit or exceeding the scope of work authorization under Section 8 of the Foreign Worker Management Act B.E. 2560 (2017) and amendments; (2) engaging in used goods trading without proper license; and (3) failing to register the business as required by law.
The suspects and evidence were handed over to Ban Bung Police Station for further legal proceedings. This case represents an enforcement effort against illegal foreign worker businesses in the area, particularly those competing unfairly with Thai workers or operating without authorization. Officials will investigate their legal status in Thailand and proceed with deportation procedures.
