M STUDIO, The Ghost Radio, and MI GROUP present the horror-drama Confessions of a Shaman, directed by Ton Natthanon Chollumpee, adapted from the renowned ghost stories of Kru Trii on The Ghost Radio. The film stars Alek Thiradej Mettaweerayut as Mo To, a former monk who loses everything—loved ones, honor, and justice—to life's cruelties before turning to dark magic under master shaman Mo Tian, played by Chakarit Yaemnaam, to exact revenge.

Director Ton revealed that the film captivates audiences through its blend of human drama and supernatural elements. "What's special is that it comes from The Ghost Radio, and many people are willing to believe it actually happened," he said. "I want viewers to leave feeling something beyond fear—a sense that lingers, making them question what might truly exist in our society."

The cast delivers powerful performances across only five or six main characters. Chakarit embodies Mo Tian so convincingly that audiences forget they're watching an actor. Alek pushes his limits as demanded, fully committing to a deeply emotional role. Boom Ranya's chemistry with Alek creates an authentic mother-son dynamic that moved the entire crew to tears. Am Amrin brings depth to comic moments without tipping into levity, while Wayne Falconer's understated presence elevates the film, and Denis Jelilia adds color and brightness to otherwise dark scenes.

Alek shared his motivation: "I wanted to do this because it's genuinely challenging. Director Ton asked if I could cut my skin head, lose more weight, and much more. The hardest part involves one deeply painful scene, and after over a decade in the industry, I couldn't pass on this role."

The "100 Football Fields for Thai Youth Power" project, operating for 10 years under King Power Thailand, has announced the successful completion of all 100 international-standard artificial turf pitches, reaching across every region of the country including mountain zones, islands, border areas, and remote communities previously lacking sports facilities.

The 100 fields are designed as more than just football venues but as "spaces of hope" enabling diverse creative activities and community engagement. All pitches are seven-a-side international-standard artificial turf fields distributed nationwide: 13 in the North, 29 in the Northeast, 24 in the Central region, 10 in the East, 6 in the West, and 18 in the South.

Each field was constructed to international standards with safety, durability, and multiple uses in mind, accommodating education, training, competition, and community activities. The project exemplifies the football field's role as more than a sports space—as a place to build dreams, develop people, create opportunities, and strengthen communities. The 100th field was delivered to Pang Khane Pithaya School in Na Thad District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, a border-area school that previously faced limited exercise space and non-standard facilities due to rocky, hard terrain that restricted full-potential sports training and activities.

Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Supachai Sutthirphanphong held a press conference following the first meeting of the Sub-Committee on Trade Development, Tourism, and Community Economy in 2569, outlining a new economic framework aligned with government policy priorities in trade and services. Kobsak Pootrakool noted agriculture must transition from traditional production to modern, high-value farming across the entire supply chain—from production through processing to marketing—especially during surplus periods. SMEs require ecosystem-wide reform affecting licensing, business registration, expansion, and export access. Minister of Culture Sabida Thaiset confirmed the Culture Ministry will support creative economy and visitor economy initiatives using cultural heritage, traditions, arts, and local identity to create new experiences and tangible community income.

On international trade, the committee agreed that rapid global changes demand leveraging free trade agreements to open new markets while protecting existing ones and balancing trade through increased SME participation in export structures. Deputy Prime Minister Supachai stated the government will coordinate with other economic committees, especially Ekniti Nitithamaratprapha's investment promotion unit, to reduce import dependence and strengthen local supply chains.

An appeals court has upheld the original trial court's sentences for four protest participants involved in the June 11, 2020 anti-government demonstrations. Wachirapon ("Arm"), Jatupol ("Tom"), and Nathapol ("Bank") were each sentenced to three years imprisonment for burning a police vehicle at Din Daeng police station, while Pholpol ("Keng") received one year and four months for failing to disperse from an unlawful assembly. NONTHABURI — On August 10, 2026, former Nonthaburi MP Chalong Riaowrang surrendered to police after allegedly shooting Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO) president Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert and his driver on Monday morning.

The shooting took place at approximately 10:20 a.m. as Thongchai was preparing to leave the Nonthaburi PAO office at the Nonthaburi Provincial Government Complex on Rattanathibet Road.

Initial investigation indicates that Chalong was waiting for Thongchai, approached his vehicle, and knocked on the window. When Thongchai opened it to speak with him, Chalong allegedly drew a firearm and opened fire.

Thongchai was shot four times, with hits to vital areas, while his driver was also struck. Rescue workers from the Nonthaburi City Municipality administered emergency treatment, including CPR, before transporting both men to Phra Nang Klao Hospital.

Security footage from the nearby Nonthaburi Provincial Public Health Office allegedly shows Chalong holding a firearm before placing it in his waistband and walking away from the scene. He later surrendered to police at a station.

A possible motive emerged after Chalong reportedly called media personality Anjalee "Jae Pong" Pairirak during her broadcast. According to her account, Chalong claimed he had shot the PAO chief and fired four or five rounds. He allegedly told her he was angry over a dispute involving 11 million baht that he claimed to have requested but was told was unavailable.

Chalong also reportedly referenced a dispute over MP candidate selection, saying he had previously asked that a certain candidate not be fielded, but the candidate was nominated anyway. He allegedly expressed feeling mistreated before announcing he would surrender to police.

The claims about financial and political disputes remain unverified, and police have not yet confirmed the motive. Nonthaburi Governor Chettha Mosikarat, along with provincial police officials and officers from Rattanathibet Police Station, inspected the scene and began collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. The investigation is ongoing.

Thongchai Yenpraserit, was shot three times with bullets entering his cheek and grazing his neck—a critical area near major blood vessels—and is currently undergoing surgery. His driver was shot once in the right arm and is also in surgery.

The shooting occurred outside the Nonthaburi PAO office on August 10, 2025, allegedly carried out by Chalongng Ruearang, a former Nonthaburi MP. The initial motive involves personal disputes and a disagreement over 11 million baht. At 1 p.m., Governor Chetsada visited Phra Nang Klao Hospital to monitor the two victims' conditions.

Security personnel from Rattanakosin Police Station were stationed outside the emergency room, and relevant officials were on standby. The driver was moved from the emergency department to another building within the hospital for continued treatment around 12:50 p.m.

Governor Chetsada revealed that Pol. Col. Thongchai was shot three times, with bullets striking his cheek and grazing the base of his neck near a major artery—a life-threatening location. The driver sustained a single gunshot wound to his right arm and remained conscious and communicative before surgery. The governor announced enhanced security measures would be implemented throughout the emergency room and hospital, restricting access to authorized personnel only.

The official confirmation of injury details will be provided by medical staff and the hospital. Police are continuing their investigation and interrogation of the suspect. Both parties had known each other for a long time, but Pol. Col. Thongchai had never previously disclosed any disputes or conflicts between them.
