The IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) tactical shooting competition made its debut at the 56th Thai Armed Forces Games, held at the Central Police Tactical Training Center's shooting range in Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima. The opening ceremony on June 29, 2025, was presided over by Police General Itthiphol Atchariyadet, the Police Commissioner, joined by representatives from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Royal Thai Police, and Anuradha Poungsarot, chairman of the Thai Practical Shooting Association. Marksmen from all four military branches participated in large numbers.
Police General Itthiphol stated that this marked the first time tactical shooting was included in the Thai Armed Forces Games. The competition aims to promote physical fitness and unity among military personnel, while identifying elite shooters to represent Thailand in world-class international competitions. The event follows international IPSC regulations and runs from June 29 to July 3, 2025, featuring three rifle categories: Standard, Optics, and Pistol Caliber Carbine, with six medals available for individual and team winners.

Standard Division - Individual: Gold to Major Natthawat Nokthaisoong, Silver to Sergeant Sadisokon Chomrut, Bronze to Lieutenant Colonel Patcharin Inhom. Team: Gold to Police Team A, Silver to Police Team B, Bronze to Navy Team A.
Optics Division - Individual: Gold to Lieutenant Colonel Hasanath Wichitpatima, Silver to Inspector Montri Pimchua, Bronze to Sergeant Major Thammanat Liangphong. Team: Gold to Police Team A, Silver to Police Team B, Bronze to Navy Team A.
Pistol Caliber Carbine Division - Individual: Gold to Brigadier General Wisit Sriyaphay, Silver to Major Khantisak Chaiapattana, Bronze to Inspector Wayupattana Boonla. Team: Gold to Police Team A, Silver to Police Team B, Bronze to Navy Team B.
Royal Thai Police marksmen dominated the competition, winning the most gold medals overall with five victories across the three divisions.
