Tragically, a 65-year-old woman out for her regular morning cycling exercise was struck when a car’s front right tire blew out, causing the vehicle to lose control, cross into the opposite lane, and hit her, throwing her body about 40 meters before the car slammed into a roadside house. The accident occurred at 06:50 on October 19, 2026, on Muang Luk Dam Road heading toward Ban Thung Yao, Village 7, Khok Chang Ngai Subdistrict, Mueang Phatthalung District. Officers from Mueang Phatthalung Police Station, together with Natthom rescue volunteers and Srinakarint responders, arrived at the scene. They found a badly damaged Suzuki sedan bearing a Phatthalung license plate that had also crashed into a nearby house, damaging the building and its wall. The driver, 35-year-old Chanchai (surname withheld), said he had gone to the market that morning to purchase goods for resale, accompanied by his mother and daughter. He reported that the right front tire suddenly exploded while driving, causing the car to veer into the cyclist. The victim, identified only as Mrs. Suphatra (surname withheld), was a regular morning cyclist. Authorities are still investigating the crash and gathering evidence to determine the exact cause and proceed with legal action.

Thai gold experts are largely expecting the price to move sideways, with nearly half seeing no change, while investors remain slightly more optimistic. The Gold Research Center cites the $4,070 support level as crucial, warning that a break could push prices toward $3,950–$3,960. Market attention is focused on the US Federal Reserve’s policy direction and inflation data, which continue to limit short‑term gains.
