Football Commentator Arrested For Illegal Gambling Promotion

Popular football commentator and influencer Jaruwat Prib Wai, known as "Waw," has broken his silence after being arrested at a Bangkok condominium on gambling-related charges. The Technology Crime Division detained the 44-year-old and seized his laptop and iPad, charging him with promoting unauthorized gambling and violating the Gambling Act.

On July 9, 2025, Waw posted a video on his Facebook page "Wowfootball" offering his apologies. He stated that he cooperated fully with authorities during questioning and accepted responsibility for the charges. He described the experience as an expensive lesson and vowed not to repeat such mistakes.

Waw addressed other influencers and content creators, urging them to avoid activities that violate the law, warning that legal consequences inevitably follow. He expressed gratitude for the support he received from fans during this difficult period.

Looking forward, Waw announced plans to resume his content creation work immediately, including football analysis, commentary, and his popular "77-Star Prediction" segment on Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. He emphasized that his football content contains nothing illegal and asked for another chance to continue his passion for football commentary, while repeating his sincere apologies for his mistakes.
