DSI Readies Arrest Warrants in Forex Case, Targeting 30+ Suspects
Thailand's DSI is seeking arrest warrants for over 30 suspects in a major forex case, including a Democrat list-MP, with arrests expected to follow court approval.
Justice Minister General Ruutpol Naowaratna said on July 13, 2569 that the DSI will request approximately 30 arrest warrants today for individuals and legal entities involved in the forex case. Democrat list-MP Phawut Pongwittayapanu is among those targeted. Once the court approves the warrants, arrests will proceed, followed by interrogation and bail decisions according to law. The minister noted that the DSI has already submitted findings to prosecutors, who have reviewed and returned them. He stated that the names submitted for prosecution reflect only the evidence gathered to date.
