Gulf Donates 15,000 Relief Kits to Flood-Hit Provinces Across Thailand
Gulf Development Public Company Limited has delivered an additional 15,000 relief kits under its 'GULF Care' program to help flood‑affected communities in 16 provinces across four regions. The kits, containing essential items such as food, drinking water and medicine, were handed over to local officials in Ayutthaya Province on 5 October 2026. Company executives said the effort aims to ease hardship and support government relief operations until the flood situation improves.
Ayutthaya Governor Chuanin Wongsatjitjakal said the province currently has flooding in 16 districts, affecting about 1,200 villages and more than 50,000 households, with 14 districts declared disaster zones. He thanked GULF for the relief kits and essential items, noting the province will coordinate with relevant agencies to distribute them fairly to those affected, and wished everyone strength to overcome the crisis together.
Thanat Thanti-sunthon, GULF’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Relations, said continuous heavy rain and rising water levels in many areas have left numerous provinces suffering from floods and shortages of daily necessities. GULF is therefore working with relevant agencies to deliver the 'GULF Care' relief kits to ease hardship and show concern for flood victims, supporting government, provincial, local, and related agencies in their assistance efforts so that Thai people can get through this situation together.
Sithon Rattanawadi, Director of Corporate Social Activities at GULF, explained that the 'Gulf Volunteers' team — made up of employees from the headquarters and power plants within the GULF group — had already assembled 650 relief kits for Bangkok, together with 6,000 bottles of drinking water and 16,000 ready‑to‑eat meals, to help residents during the previous week. Upon learning that heavy rain continues nationwide and may cause further flooding in various regions, he and the volunteers rushed to prepare an additional 15,000 kits containing essential items such as boxed milk, canned food, instant noodles, basic medicines, tissue paper, and more, for swift delivery to affected areas. GULF will closely monitor the situation and continue providing assistance as appropriate until the floods subside and people can return to normal life.
