Bang Lamung police have successfully arrested four members of the gang responsible for luring and murdering a young man. The shooter claims the gun discharged accidentally during a physical altercation, not intentional. At 1 PM on May 10, 2025, Pol. Col. Sarawut Nuchnarot, Bang Lamung station commander, along with Pol. Maj. Yongyut Waanneua and the investigation team, apprehended all four suspects: Kitti (Pim), 32, the shooter; Sirivimol (Un-un), 24, the victim's ex-girlfriend who sent the luring messages; Ponpasak (Nik), 34; and Pongsathon (New), 33. Police seized a semi-automatic Colt .380 pistol with three rounds in the magazine and a white Honda City with registration number 2 กณ 2889 Bangkok. All four voluntarily surrendered after heavy interrogation pressure.
Deputy station commander revealed that Un-un, the ex-girlfriend and message sender, admitted knowing the victim for four years but denied dating him, claiming they were just close friends. She currently has been dating Pim for approximately three months. Before the incident, the victim called her, but Pim saw this and became jealous. He forced Un-un to send a message luring the victim to the meeting location to supposedly resolve the situation. She didn't realize her boyfriend had brought a weapon.
Un-un confirmed she and the victim never dated but acknowledged their close friendship spanning over four years. She stated the victim had been persistent in pursuing her, which she never reciprocated. She admitted money he transferred to her was used for online gambling.
Pim eventually contacted police and surrendered voluntarily, leading them to retrieve the gun from his residence in Nong Yai Soi 8, Na Klueang Subdistrict, Bang Lamung. Pim claims he accidentally discharged the gun while intending to use it as a disciplinary measure. He insists neither his girlfriend nor accompanying friends knew he carried the weapon. He stated he was shocked and regretful during their escape, praying the victim wouldn't die, but upon learning the fatal outcome, he decided to surrender and apologize to the victim's family.
Regarding his motive for forcing his girlfriend to deceive the victim, Pim said she told him the victim wanted to see her. Angered, he woke her and forced her to send the deceptive message. Initially intending to resolve the issue, he never anticipated the situation would escalate to this extent.
