Heavy Rain Shuts Two Chiang Mai Parks Temporarily
Heavy rainfall forces closures of multiple waterfalls and trails across Chiang Mai's two major national parks until water levels and conditions stabilize safely.
Heavy rainfall across Chiang Mai has forced Doi Suthep-Pui National Park to temporarily close Mok Fa Waterfall and Huay Tung Tao Waterfall due to surging water levels and reddish, murky conditions. The park is taking the precaution to protect visitors' lives and property until water conditions stabilize and the site can safely reopen.
Meanwhile, Doi Inthanon National Park has also announced temporary closures of the Phi Dok Siao natural study trail, Mae Ya Waterfall, due to heavy rainfall in the area. Park authorities are asking all visitors to strictly follow safety guidelines and official instructions to protect themselves and their belongings.
