Cabinet Approves Key Finance and Commerce Posts

The Cabinet on September 29, 2569 at 2:00 p.m. at Government House approved appointments to several key positions. Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswivatana announced that the Cabinet appointed Piyaporn Podkling as director of the Deposit Protection Agency, effective September 29, 2569, replacing the previous director who had resigned before completing their term. Deputy Prime Minister Ekniti Nitithanpraphach approved the appointment.

The Cabinet also appointed Waimdao Damronphon, a civil servant from the Legal Department of the Intellectual Property Department, as legal adviser at the Ministry of Commerce office, effective May 22, 2569. Deputy Prime Minister Suphajee Suthumphanthurn approved this appointment.

Additionally, the Cabinet appointed Wichapipol Tiwatansakul, a senior policy and planning analyst at the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council, as Deputy Secretary-General of the Council to replace a retiring official, effective October 1, 2569. Deputy Prime Minister Ekniti Nitithanpraphach approved this appointment.

The Cabinet also appointed nine new members to the National Housing Authority board, effective September 29, 2569, including Thanet Kruarutt as chairman, replacing the previous board that resigned en masse. Deputy Prime Minister Yotsanan Wongsawasdi approved the appointments. The members include Chuphom Rojnaphanic, Sammathorn Maneeyun, Suphapon Kongwutpanya, Kanaphot Chomrith, Niti Witthayawirot, Asst. Prof. Supattra Planwichit, Thitipan Leeratanchai, and Natthawut Smithbenjapol.

Finally, the Cabinet appointed two additional members to the Pharmaceutical Organization board to replace one resigning member and add one new member: Chutima Sripreachon representing the Ministry of Finance, replacing Somsak Anan, and Suradech Chawadej as an additional member, both effective September 29, 2569. Deputy Prime Minister Thongsak Thongsr approved these appointments.
