Finance Ministry Reshuffles Eight Senior Officials

On September 22, 2026, at Government House, Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Perachitwiwatthana announced that the cabinet has approved the Finance Ministry's proposal to appoint, transfer, and reassign eight senior civil service officials to fill vacant positions and rotate staff. The appointments are: Tharaporn Singhaphan Mahidthafonggul as Finance Ministry Inspector-General; Kanawut Sititheeraphon as Deputy Permanent Secretary of Finance; Sophatsaporn Thammapornpilas as Finance Ministry Inspector-General; Theeraluck Sangsanit as Director-General of the Treasury Department; Chitra Neesanon as Deputy Permanent Secretary of Finance; Salakjit Pongsirijon as Director-General of the Revenue Department; Thibodi Watthanakul as Director of the Public Debt Management Office; and Polchak Nimwattana as Director of the State Enterprise Policy Committee Office. Most appointments take effect from October 1, 2026, or from their respective royal appointment dates.
